Becky Chen,
LMSW

Becky Chen, Licensed Master Social Worker, received her Master of Social Work from Boston College and Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Becky has experience working with a range of patients from young children to older adults. Becky approaches therapy from a patient-focused and strengths-based lens, believing that each individual has the capacity to overcome life’s challenges. Becky utilizes a wide range of therapeutic modalities that include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT). Becky has experience working with patients dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, complex trauma, ADHD, and OCD. Additionally, growing up in a Chinese immigrant family in America, Becky also understands the impact of generational trauma and cultural identity struggles that first generational individuals and people of color deal with. Becky works with patients and within the community to mend and grow from these experiences.

Becky strives to create a therapeutic space for patients that centers around empathy. Wherever the patient is at in their life right now, Becky will meet them where they are and assist them to get to where they want to be. There is no timeline for healing and growth. And no matter how big or small the challenges are, everyone has the ability to live a happy and fulfilled life.

Outside of her passion for mental health, Becky also enjoys spending time with her corgi and cat, hiking, reading, and playing tabletop games.
