Charlotte L Grillot, PhD

Dr. Charlotte Grillot (she/her) strongly values the therapeutic relationship, in which she centers genuine human connection. She embodies a warm, curious, and non-judgmental stance and is client-centered, transparent, and collaborative in her approach. Dr. Grillot is multiculturally responsive, LGBTQ+ affirming, and social justice oriented. She has an integrative, relational approach to treatment. She uses evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. She understands that there is no ‘one size fits all’ treatment and works collaboratively with clients to help them achieve their goals and build their most fulfilling lives.
 
Dr. Grillot earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Florida State University. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She also holds a MA in psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a BA from Goucher College, with a major in psychology and minor in sociology. Dr. Grillot has experience providing care across a variety of settings, including in forensic, medical center, inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings. She is experienced in psychological assessment and individual and group treatments for a range of psychological issues. Dr. Grillot works primarily with adults. Areas of specialization include eating disorders, disordered eating and body image concerns, as well as depressive, anxiety, and trauma disorders.
